Frequently asked questions
We hope that you find the answer to any questions you may have here. However, if we can be of any further assistance, please call us on +44(0)1502 573564 and we’ll be happy to help!

Are pets allowed?
Only service dogs can stay at Kitchener’s, subject to availability. This must be arranged at the time of booking as we have one allocated room to allow for this.
Are your premises wheelchair accessible?
We have wheelchair access into the property but unfortunately, our lift to the guest rooms is not big enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
Can I volunteer at Kitchener’s?
We are always looking for volunteers. Volunteer tasks may range from helping with a fundraising event, providing tea/coffee to guests who may be experiencing loneliness to any basic maintenance within the building to help us keep our beautiful Grade II listed building in good condition for our guests staying with us. If you think volunteering at Kitchener’s may be something you would like to do, please call the Manager on 01502573564 to discuss any current volunteering opportunities.
Do you have any family rooms?
All our 10 rooms are twin rooms. 8 of these rooms can be made into double rooms (we have specialist zip together beds which, when together, form a super king bed). We have two ‘put-up’ beds available, but our rooms only allow for one put up bed. The size of the ‘put-up’ beds are suitable for small children only up to the age of 12 years. If you require a ‘put-up’ bed in your room, please ask for this at the time of booking to ensure we have one available for your stay.
Do you provide care for people staying at Kitchener’s?
No. We are a holiday guest house only, we are unable to provide any care to those who may require it.
Do you provide parking?
We do not have a private car park however, there are many ‘on-road’ parking spaces on the street with two dedicated car parking spaces within a few hundred yards of our building (remember to display your blue badge as appropriate). If no street parking is available, there are two public car parks within a few hundred yards on the opposite side of the road (one just before our building, and one just after). The car parks are free between the hours of 6pm and 8am. Outside of these hours the car park charges range from £1.50 for the first two hours up to £4 maximum.
How do I book?
Booking direct with us is easy. Call us on 01502573564 or email enquiries@kitchenerslowestoft.com to discuss availability on the dates you require. Once we have scheduled your booking, we will email or post you a booking confirmation form which we ask you to complete and return to us.
